OK, so someone on another forum I go to (a new rider) said she accidentally bumped into the kill switch while riding on the freeway. She downshifted to first and the bike came to a complete stop in the middle lane. She didn't even get a chance to coast to the shoulder.
I've never accidentally bumped into the kill switch, but her thread got me thinking. What if this ever happened to me on the freeway? Someone could just rear-end me and possibly kill me if my bike came to a complete stop.
Have you ever bumped into your kill switch while riding? If so, what happened?

The first time it happened to me was on the racetrack and only because the race was over and I waved to my wife with my right hand - I don't remember why. When my hand came back to the grip I hit the kill switch which does bring you down from speed quickly!

Yup. That's the common theme with bumping into it. Waving at someone with your throttle hand!
