Ok so I just got a 2000 Honda CBR 929rr and it has a hickup where when i'm in second gear once the rpms are about 8,000 or so it will drop into neutral....im really hoping its not gonna be a big fix...anyone know what could be up with my bike?

My '02 Hayabusa had the same type of problem. It didn't go into neutral but at about 6k RPM it came out of second and right back in. My second gear was shot. Sounds like you may have a bent shift fork letting it come back out. Either way, the case has to split. While your in there spend the little extra and replace all the forks and bearings.

yep, definitely something wrong inside the gearbox. Nothing you can do aside from take it to somebody who can swap the bad parts out.
