SF Bay Area Sportbike Riders

I just thought I would let the greater SSB community know that there's a new Facebook group up and running. See since getting stationed in Alameda almost 2yrs ago, I've been trying to meet up with people that I don't work with who share the same enthusiasm for riding as I do. Recently I'd even begun searching "the Facebook" for Sportbike/Streetbike, YZF-R6, and Yamaha groups in Northern Cali/San Francisco Bay Area. As you can probably guess there are lots, but none specificly for "SF Bay Area Sportbike Riders" . Because of this I thought it was time someone took "initiative" and create a group on "the Facebook" called just that, "SF Bay Area Sportbike Riders" . I think it's safe to assume that most of anyone reading this post are probably also on Facebook. Hopefully some of y'all (yes I'm from Texas) might even be in the SF Bay Area as well, or expecting to head out this way, and who knows, some of y'all may even be like me; not originally(or recently)from the Bay, but would like to have an easier way to find out what's going on in the SFBA Riding community, or would just like to meet or make new riding buddies, without having to jump from message board to message board. So I just hope that if anyone out there is interested you'll look it up and join. For obvious reason I'm the only member right now, but maybe after I post this it'll take on a "Snowball effect" and gather more momentum.

You might also *cautiously* check out Bay Area Riders Forum - I say that because when I first moved out here I met a bunch of people on there, but a lot of folks there are definitely the "forum type" as opposed to normal people who just post on boards - if you catch my drift.

But in all honesty I've actually made a few good friends on there and there are group rides and social gatherings all the time.
