2-Wheel Tuner RIP?

Have been riding on the street 6 years now. Got into this kinda' late in life. (No, was NOT a mid-life crisis. No Harley in MY garage, hah-hah!) Started off with an orange '04 Triumph Speed 4 (can still see it @ micronexhaust.com). After owning that for 2 years and NOT hurting myself or getting any tickets, decided to follow my 2-wheel dream and get a Ducati 749. Former Speedway racer, too, FYI. Anyway, have read various m/c pub's over the years, and really prefer the Brit-bike ones as they're more candid in their bike and product and road evaluations. Here, publishers are so afraid of losing even ONE advertiser, they'll never say the new Japasaki X-9000 is a piece of gob-shite, but across the pond, they surely will. It's just that even at discount, a subscription in the U.S. runs about $60/year. So, thought I'd try for "something...completely-different" in subscribing to Super Streetbike. No, I have no intention of ever being a "stunter" or chroming my "Duck's" swingarm, but I do like seeing what other people are doing with their mounts and what new toys and baubles the marketplace has to offer. Thus, here I am. Anyway, just as I began my subscription to THIS rag, I read that its competitor, 2-Wheel Tuner, is ceasing publication as of the current issue. My question is, "Why?" Were they going after the wrong kind of readers? (Those without tons of discretionary income?) Or, was it because it was an "indy" having to compete for shelf space at Barnes & Noble with conglomerate-owned mag's such as this one? Anyway, am looking forward to getting Super Streetbike at home, and am sure that, just as with my Duck and my neighbor's CBR 1000, I WILL "enjoy the ride"! (Read?)

2WT was owned by Advanstar—a much larger company than the publisher of SSB.

regardless or 2WT's fate...welcome! I used to be an editor at Superbike (UK), and as part of our soon-to-come redesign you'll see some of the influence (I hope!).
