I have been looking into getting my first 250 street legal bike, but i want to looks and feel of a larger bike like a 600, only two companies have come to focus through my research, Kawasaki with the Ninja 250r and Hyosung with the GT250r. Kawasaki has a great rep but the styling and slightly larger size of the Hyosung is more appealing, but there are mixed reviews about Hyosung. Anyone have any insight into Hyosung and the bikes in the US? i would greatly appreciate it.

maybe look into an EX500 instead of a 250. it'll be roughly the same price, but larger in stature with a bit more power.

Thanks for the reply, but i have only been on a dirt bike before, largest being a honda 450 (my friends) i rode it a few (8 ish) times on trails, got used to the friction zone, how hard i could break with out locking up, and hit the throttle out of the corners and coming off the line, things like that, so im not completely new, just never been out on the street before which is why i was thinking about a 250 (dont want to die in 3 months) but im a decent sized guy but not huge, 5 11 185 which is why i wanted something with a little more size so im not feeling like im riding a 200 dirtbike

dude honestly i wouldn waste my money on a 250... because in like a month you will be wanting to get rid of it. you might as well go ahead and get a 500 like Dave said or get you a 600. the 600 is still a very easy learning bike and most arent that bulky, but we cant make your mind up for you homie. you get what you think will be best for you. go seat shopping, what i mean by seat shopping is go to your local dealers and sit on the bikes if they allow it, some places dont, and just grab the handle bars like your riding and see which feels best for you. every bike is dif. just like every person is as well. its all about what fits you.
