I have a 2005 Suzuki GS500F and it will turn on and start up just fine, but when I go to put it into first gear it just shuts off. The kill switch is off and the kick stand will be up, and of course I am holding down the clutch. Anyone have any suggestions what might be causing the problem? Thanks

another thing could be if the clutch cable is adjusted wrong. make sure the lever is all the way to the bar before putting it in gear.
otherwise, yeah, sounds like a kickstand sensor hiccup.

yeah after following the wire for the kick stand safety switch back to the fuse it seems that the wire has split out of the actual fuse, so since I don't have the correct tools to get the wire hooked back in, I dropped it off at the shop yesterday, there not charging me to much only like $20 which is nice
