Exhaust Question

Hello all,

I just had a question about the exhaust system i had on my 02 honda cbr954rr.  I have a full micron exhaust system but no slip on exhaust. Does the Slip on have to be a micron or can i use whatever i want to put on there? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

There is headers, midpipe, and exhaust can

Some times a exup valve is inbetween the header and midpipe and some times a cat in between the midpipe and exhaust cans.   Obviously each bike is different and all models exhaust are a little different.

When you buy a new exhaust itll usually come with a new midpipe and exhaust can, and considering it just slips on with only removing two bolts its considered a slip on.

Full system is from headers all the way back to the exhaust and most aftermarket exhausts remove exups and cats.

i think what's he saying is that there's a full system on there, minus the end can. put anything on that'll fit.
I put a Roaring Toyz can on a Yosh full system over the weekend. needed a big clamp and some silicone sealer, but otherwise worked fine.

Ill check it out and see. But yes it is the full system minus the can.  I will try to put up a picture to see if that will help anyone understand a little better what I am Talking about.  It is greatly appreciated!

Also, search around on on the Web, you might find a used Micron can to match the headers. Those old Serpent headers are GREAT!  

yeah, i love the high mount that micron offers also and that was my first choice but everywhere i looked i was told they don't make them for my year anymore, so i went with the full Ti-CF akrapovic evolution instead that was on sale for an amazing $780, it was definitely one time when second choice was the best deal  

micron stopped making exhaust for bikes, they went back to bugatti stuff.
