Hello fellas I wanted to join a streetbike forum that had members with alot of knowledge and this is where I was sent.  My brother and I are twins and we are turning 34 next month.  We have decided we want bikes to reward ourselves for being good fathers, husbands and providers.  Neither one of us have ridden before.  We plan on taking the course.  My question is we both are bigger guys 6'1 230lbs what type of bike would you recommend for us.  We are not thrill seekers  by no means and will not disrespect the bikes potential.  But we need something that once we get comfortable and have some experience under us will take care of our needs not leaving us to want to upgrade.  We mainly are wanting to get out on sundays for a canyon cruise or a nice ride.  We wont be doing stunts or tricks do to the fact I dont bounce to well.   Thanks for you help ahead of time.

first decide weather you want a cruiser, sport tour, or sport bike.  If you are on this forum Im going to assume it is going to be sportbike.

With out having riden anything before or what not, In all honesty the top 4 the differences are so different but only for someone who knows that they either want high rpm power or low end or this kind of fork or this kind of clutch etc etc.

Being new to the sportbikes, best bet is to start by just sitting on all the bikes and feeling which ones are the most comfortable which will make your riding experience a good one.  600cc bikes are plenty big for what you are looking for.  but if you are anything like my brother and I, i would tell my brother im getting a 600 and after he bought one id get a 1000 and rub it in his face.

ssb is always doing reviews about all the new 600's against each other, I would grab a mag and go from there it is probably on the website somewhere, usually called 600 shoot out or something like that.  Anything will be better then the millennium falcon, they are slow and outdated like Zamora's old gsxrs.

a lot depends on the budget obviously...
$2000 or $5000 can open or close a lot of doors.
