I use to have a friend who rode but hes not around anymore so im looking for some help. Im trying to figure out what would be a good bike for me to start out with. I have never ridden before, i need something that i can learn the basics on. Im really small so looking at the smaller bikes.

I'm 4'11" and I ride a Ninja 250. It's lowered, Roaring Toyz makes a lowering kit for a decent price and it's the best bike to start on. Make sure you get some frame sliders just incase you drop the bike to it's side. What also help since your concerned about size are lever adjusters too. Now adding all these modifications could become costly at first so you can get those afterwards. Throw your leg over at a bike store to see you can reach the ground without lowering the bike. You may be compatible as a beginner with the bike but it doesn't mean your legs are. But like Dave said, it's a great starter bike.
