Great article, Gives many good points to both sides of the story.

The way I see it, Buy it gives you satisfaction in an instant. Many people of the Microwave generation will love it. Buy it today and shred today, for a price.

The build it crowd might not be able to go out and shred the same day but with a lot less money down they can build the bike of their dreams over time paycheck to paycheck and get ultimately what they want for a small savings. It will also give them a chance to express some satisfaction and gain the knowledge on how to use tools and maybe pick up some shop stuff in the process. They will also have a bike that might be cheaper to insure and parts will be more available through the auction sites or message boards.

I hear you there! with a couple paycuts and rising prices all I can afford to do right now is put gas in the bike. I am planning on running it at the Mojave Mile but no performance mods are in the near future.

Mojave Mile is gonna be nuts, I'm thinking about running it as well!

One thing I'd like to add about the article, Pitting Sullys TL up against the Duc is like putting a 82 Camaro against a ZR1 Vette. I think if you found someone with a GSXR1000 that has been stripped down and made useful you will find the numbers to be a bit closer.

Justin,If your not reserved for the grid you will want to call them asap. They are limiting the number of people on this first event.
