i just got done spending all day saturday working on a '99 CBR 600 F4...the yellow one. we had to rejet the thing after switching it from a Cal bike to a 49-state bike. then we lowered it front and rear. it's got a 2 bros slip-on, supersprox sprocket and yellow EK chain, Galfer lines/pads. that's all right now, but more to come.

New to the mag and back on a bike after a 14 year/marriage/2 kids absence. My family understands my obsession even after a broken neck. Bought an affordable 09 Monster but there is not much out there for mods right now. Inquiring about any ideas out there. I finally found some risers to get rid of the triple tree handlebar mount, just waiting to afford a pair given the above existing duties of wife and children. Any other ideas? I am working on a tail kit out of diamond plate aluminum and will post photos when complete. I have a Werks tail kit right now just not happy with the looks of the tail underside.

Yeah You done a lot to it, I have done so much work on mine last year its not funny any normal person would have been satisfied but I rode it for last season and now its in a million parts, what I did to it last year was Barnett Kevlar clutch, chrome levers, polished every thing from the frame to the engine covers, top triple tree clamp, rear sets, passenger rear sets, swing arm, lips on wheels by hand with sandpaper and water, lowered the front by sliding forks up the triple tree 2", Lower rear 3", tried vortex sprockets and 520 conversion it was a joke I went back to a 525 and Jt sprockets (give me steel)15 front and a 47 rear, complete paint job cobalt blue, molded scoops to front faring now its all one piece, added screen in the fairing, grips, front master cylinder cover, made a swing arm license plate bracket, LED lights, chrome foot pegs, etc... you can check out my build by http://www.cbrnation.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=121
If you think that is a lot then when I get done with it this time I will send in info and a couple of pics, I don't know why people don't customize these old bikes. instead of trashing them on the parking lots...LOL
Has any one ever heard of getting sponsored to build a show bike cause I sure would like two, I'm Trying to build a custom and support a wife and a little girl...working for a community action agency.... NOT POSSIBLE HELP....

monster 11 or 6?
i'd say some slip-on pipes are a must—let that baby breathe. maybe some click-adjustable levers (Pazzo, CRG).
hell, why not a bellypan like the streetfighter?
