to big to stupid

what is the big  deal with the big 240 to360 tires.yes i like the look of a nice wheel on a bike .but that big of a wheel dose not help your hp or braking or your wallet .why not buy a nice set of stock size lighter then stock wheels that will help your hp and handling .i just think that the money you spend on that you could add 10 to 20 hp with fine tunning or cam degring.

i think its mainly for look..  just like stretched, or lowered.. etc...
