I have an 09 GSXR 750 - looking to get the shorty look out the exhaust but was told because of the converter that no "traditional" bolt up slip-on will give me that look. Got hooked up with a Two Brothers exhaust from a friend but is for a 06/07 GSXR. Have heard that I can make this exhaust work by adding some mid-pipe and having a little welding done? Does this sound possible? Anyone have any ideas or thoughts??? I am in San Diego / Oceanside area and would appreciate some help......

From what I have seen from the pics of the stock exhaust of the gsxr600/750, the cat is welded to the mid pipe. If that is true, i don't see why you couldn't have a muffler shop cut it off and have your two bros. pipe welded up to it. I have a 07 GSXR600. Luckily, the cat on my bike was attached to the stock muffler and was clamped to the midpipe rather than welded.
