i have a 2004 suzuki gsxr1000 with a power cammander, full system arata exhast, dyno/mapped and tuned, and a TRE... and bascailly that is it besides modifications to the overall apperence of the bike when i got it tuned i was pushing about 170 horespower.. Just seeing if anyone has any suggestions on things that will increase speed without so much money? Or any experianced suggestions on cool things i can do?

yes you will have to get a new chain. You can buy a sprocket kit that will come with the front, rear sprocket and new chain. They are not that much money for the amount of performance that you get from them. I went -1 front and +2 rear. I chose to go with a vortex kit but I have riding friends that swear by others. The kit that I chose is for bottom end power and it took roughly around 10-12 mph off my top end. I have a 600 and the kit made my bike feel like a TOTALLY different bike. I honestly feel it is the best mod I have ever purchased.

there isnt anything you can really do without losing top end power if not gaining bottom and top end power?

you gotta pay to play, everything you can bolt on is only going to make so much of a difference. Put a turbo on the bike if you want to not worry about power anymore, but its going to cost you.

or you can simply learn how to ride better...lol... just kidding... but seriously a sprocket change can make all the difference in the world...fltjnky16 is right though... the higher you go up in sprocket, the lower your top end is going to be... are you looking to get through a 1/4 mile faster, or are you looking for faster top speed? I have a '02 954RR, and went -1 tooth on the front sprocket, and +5 on the back... It is completely insane, how much difference this one mod can make...

yeah sprockets always will get you there alot faster. but takes away from top speed. i have mine sprocketed and think its a great investment if your lookin for torque. If you sprocket it though you should look into getting a speedo healer. because it will throw your speed off. your bike thinking your going faster than you are... and than you will put more miles on your bike than you really are! If you go -1 front +2 in back you can get away with that without having to buy a new chain! which saves you about 110 to 160 bucks! But if you dont want to lose your top speed! i would have to say turbo it! thats what i want to get done! and it would be sick because you dont see those around too ofter.. on 1000's that is.
