My 07 R6= bought some speedking rearsets, the stock sets have a place for the rear brake light spring to hook up, so these new sets do not have this piece, i need this to hook up to pass a safety inspection.... Anyone have this problem or can give me an idea on how to hook up this spring. I have the spring just no place to hook it too.
Same bike. Bought links to drop it. It sits pretty high now due to the extension kit. when i do drop it do i really need and adjustable kick stand to keep it safely up without easily tipping it or can i just keep the stock one.

i had the same problem when i bought my vortex rearsets, they sell the two parts seperately which is retarded if you ask me but kinda not since once you buy the piece once you can swap it out with any other rearsets you but in the future. There are two different types of brake light switches though, they are measured at 1.00 pitch and a 1.25 pitch. But from what I found, the 1.25 pitch switch is for japanese bikes and the 1.00 pitch is for the european bikes. As for the kickstand deal, my buddy has his lowered and has the stock kickstand and he drops his all the time, I would play it safe and get the right parts the first time.

you can buy another kickstand off ebay and have someone who knows how to weld put the bottom "foot" part of the the shorter one. you shouldnt have more then $30-40 in it, its easy to switch kickstands and not that much of a big deal if you arent going to raise and lower your bike all the time.
