Off the top of my head, I'd say close to 150 (could be wrong)

Wouldn't recommend you test it on public streets though.

I used to have a 2005 r6. i got it up to around 160. not sure how much it had left to go due to the lack of straight road.

Nice, was this during the day ? Howd the bike feel at that speed?

All the times I have "maxed out" my bike I love how it felt super stable and planted, unlike many cars I've been in.

Pretty much most 600 are going to be about the same in top speed, I own a '06 ZZR600, which is very similar to the F4i and I toped out at 168. my friend own a new Gixxer 600 and did 175, but that would be absolute max for any 600.

I have an 01 R6 with -1 front sprocket and topped out at 180mph! I was at redline-15,500rpm and in a full race tuck.
I also ran the 1/4 mile in 10.75@129mph.
Go with the YAMAHA!!!

10.75 is a good time.

You can probably break into the 9's with more practice.

Agreed, go Yamaha =P I have an 02 R6 and I changed out the chain/sprocket to the Vortex 520 conversion. I know my top speed was compromised a bit, but it more then makes up for it with the added torque and increase in low end power. Besides, why should you be going more then 100+ mph on the street?

r these stock bikes you guys are talking about cause there is no way a 600 can run in the 170s and 180s stock

Skydiving_sob is right. Your only gonna push 150, 160 tops. Speedos are highly inaccurate @ those speeds. You need something else to track speed.
