Ok, so I went to XSBOOSTPERFORMANCE.COM and tried to buy the radiator fan control but when I get to the part where I am supposed to fill in my info I can't get passed the address form. I don't even get as far as filling out the payment method. Is anybody else having this problem or know what the hell I'm doing wrong? I have been looking for a solution to my bike overheating and this is it. I've emailed the owner of the site but haven't gotten a response yet.

Is it a fan or just a kind of shortcut to turn the stock fan on before the engine starts to overheat?

it's a switch that wires into your stock fan so you can turn it on whenever you like.

thanks for the help, brenton actually emailed me back and ordered the part for me and sent the receipt and all that himself. this forum is a highly under-appreciated tool that is readily at everybody's finger tips. that's too bad.

All you have to do is splice into the ground on your fan relay with a switch and ground the switch. The fan will turn on and as long as you splice into it and not sever the original connection the fan will turn on normally.  Ive been doing this to all my bikes from day one, along with headlight and tail light toggles.

This is like $3 worth of crap from an autopart store.

yeah but when you resale your bike, saying you spliced it yourself doesn't sound nearly as good as telling the potential buyer that you got the kit to do it right.

I guess it all comes down to how confident you feel that you can do it right if not better.

Ive built a thing or two, with electronics and unlimited budgets so this is a walk in the park for me to get a fan to come on.

but hey who cares, you got it and it works.  There is always more then one way to skin a cat.  Are you happy?? then thats all that matters!

but that website where you bought it works like *** in mozilla

I'm not bad with electronics but when it comes to my baby I don't want to take any chances. It didn't work very well with IE either so I had to email the owner and he completed the transaction for me and I already received the part back in the states and didn't even have to pay shipping, so I saved a buck or two for the websites flaws.
