Hello, I am curious about tire selection. I do go to track days, I ride almost everyday. I am looking for a tire that is good in wet conditions as well. I would also like a tire that will last as long as possible, seeing that I do ride it almost every day to and from work. I would like to hear your commets on this and see if any of you can help me out. Thank you for your time. I hope to get some replies on this one. It is time now to purchase a new set of tires I believe I am not far from the dreaded dthreads showing.

I recently got a new rear tire. I opted for the pirelli corsa III. I am also a daily commuter and ocasional more aggresive riding. It has the same tread pattern as the diablo which does good in the rain. But since I do commute I wanted something with a longer life span. The Corsa 3 is a dual compound so you can acheive more miles out of the center of the tire. But if you want to go rail some corners the sides are softer. I have been happy with it so far. I havent had it for to long so I cant say what kind of mileage can be acheived. I did some research and heard a wide variety of miles from different riders. It depends alot on road surface and temp. But it is a good tire to consider. If you are interested in it let me know cause I found one place that sold it for about $60 cheaper than everyone else I found.

I bought the Pirreli (probably spelled it wrong)Diablo Rosso rear tire, which is also a dual compound tire. It cost me 189.00 and it is a really good tire. The center is hard enough to get some life out of it but the outsides are really sticky.

the pirelli corsa III is a good tire. i have about 3000 miles of hard riding on mine. the roads in south carolina suck so you can get good mileage out of them. if you do track days often i recommend a set of strictly track tires. it is more costly now but you save the sidewall of your commuters. the ultimate would be a set of track tires on their on rims so swaps would be easy and quick. if budget is an issue, corsa III's work well.

Pirelli is one of the best tires we have ever ridden on, now being sponsored by them we are proud to put their name on everything we do. They have been around the block and have proven themselves with ample life, amazing grip, and superior quality. They are constantly testing and have their own test facility

You cant go wrong with Pirelli!

a hard compound tire like that will still be slippery as hell when it's cool outside and you risk losing traction (depending on what you ride)...all for the sake of a few dollars it's not worth the chance... do you ride a sportbike or a sport touring bike? that should answer what sort of tires you'd want to buy. IMO.
