I have a 2004 honda cbr600rr and I installed the same sprocket kit on mine. There is not a whole lot lost on top end. I believe it was 12 mph according the the radar gun. NO NOT A COP. But as far as just riding, brother it makes it feel like a new bike. I honestly recommend going with that kit. Trust me brother it is great fun.

Ask yourself this....

Honestly,

How often do you do over 130 mph?

How often do you do 0- say 85?

Changing your gearing will help you go 0-85 mph at faster pace (sorta).

Gearing is one of the cheapest, easiest and best mods to do any bike. I just dropped a tooth (front sprocket) on my Ducati yesterday. I know can use 6th gear again.

you are right, not often. i still would like to be able to though... but i dont want the bike to be wound tight in 6th gear going 105 mph. if the bikes true top speed is 160 and gearing drops that to 140, that is fine by me. it sounds like the way to go!!!  thanks
