Hey Everyone!

So, as my tagline says, im a newbie.  I've ridden quite a bit as a passenger, but now ive decided to get a bike of my own.  Im female, 5ft, and 115lbs.  I was thinking of getting a ninja 250r to start, but if that is a bad idea, i'd love to know what might be better.

Also, I was wondering if it would be better to get a leather jumpsuit, or should I just get a jacket?

Also, there are sooo many helmet models, that I don't know which to get.  I know that it should be DOT certified, but other than that I'm at a loss.  I'm not made of cash, but this is the one area that I'm really willing to splurge.

So..any advice??

the Ninja 250 is great.
not sure what a leather "jumpsuit" is? full leather suit? yeah that'd be best, but reinforced jeans and a leather jacket will also work fine.
as for helmets, the key thing is that it fits!
go try on various models at a dealership and ask for assistance in getting the right fit. get what fits your budget and your head!

Thanks for the advice!  I really appreciate it!
And, yes, full leather suit is what I meant. Lol, told you I was a newbie!
