Bike i can handle???

Im five foot nothing and weigh 100lbs dripping wet. Some of my friend with bikes have made comments about me not being able to handle a bike and i shouldnt even try. Is this true?

Dont listen to them, my riding buddy is 4'11 and she rides a 2006 R6, find one you like have it lowered and have fun.

my girl is 4' 11" and has ridden a ninja 250 easily on track and street. we're looking at getting her a cbr600 now. it needs to be lowered obviously.
but...i'd suggest getting a cheap small cc dirtbike to learn the basic balance on first. she started on a klx 140 and it helped a ton. not necessary, but certainly helpful.
