i haven't heard of that one, but then i'm not too savvy on electrical issues. could the wires be rubbing on something that finally wore them all the way through?
it's a pretty basic assumption, but it's a possibility...

Another thing you can check is the handle bar switch....if your not getting anything back at the bulbs try the wires on the switch...I have had to replace mine twice on two diffrent gsx-r's and one was an 2002 gsx-r 1000

I as well have the same bike and same problem. I tested the wires on the hi/lo switch and got nothing, checked the voltage at the fuse block and got nothing. I'm currently in the process of tearing it down for some new paint, so the only thing I know to do next is trace the wiring completly.

a lot of the SRADs and older 2000 Suzukis have that problem. I would check the wiring harness. Also take apart all those plugs and spray some WD 40 in them to make sure you are getting a connection. I've had 2 Suzukis have the same exact problem with that headlight. You'll most likely see a melted wire or if there is a problem with the clear plug, you will just have to do a simple plug bypass...
