I have recently taken the class but i have been waiting on stand by for about a month or so to take the Riding Courses ....

I have no experience with any type of motorcycle at all, and this weekend will be the 1st time getting on a bike and turning it on. Does any one have any suggestions on what NOT TO DO?? I really don't want to be one of those people who fall as soon as they get on the bike lol And I certainly don't want to press the wrong button to make the bike suddenly turn off.
Any suggestions will help!!!

they don't just turn you loose on the bike.

there's several options of bikes, from virago 250 to ninja 250 and 500, etc etc.

pick one that you're comfortable sitting on.

then they'll walk you through it in terms of where the key is, the starter button, etc.

following that you'll start with basic exercises like releasing the clutch and getting the bike rolling.
.

don't be nervous—be excited!

well to keep this updates i did take the riding course.... and it was very intense!! i loved it !!
i went in there not knowing how to ride a bike what so ever. To getting off first gear, and learning how to stop on time and learning how to turn with the bike as well as other techniques. you do learn a lot and i definitely recommend the course to anyone!!!

Awesome, way to go mciau! I'm taking the course as well, and am pretty excited. I'm going with a friend, which will hopefully help minimize first ride jitters!

Oh yeah?!

Well I went to Pro Italia this past weekend, and they were looking for the lowest bike in their inventory. Of course they had me sit on the Kawasaki Ninja 250. It was the only bike that was comfortable enough for me and low enough that I could plant both my feet flat on the ground ha.
