Was goin on? im new to this board and am lookin for some tips on how to ride a stoppie. i moved to an R1 from an R6 on my 17th birthday (a few months ago) and got the general stoppie idea down i just cant keep it goin. any advice?

Don't grab a handful of brake suddenly (0% to 100%), grab some brake gently, and increase untill you feel the back rise.


Look at where you want to stop.

A lot of tricks are the easiest at slow speeds. (there are exceptions) Go to stunts on this site, there actually might be something there explaining the best way to do it. Or youtube. Youtube has a lot of how to videos for stunts.

stoppies are the one that's it's better to go faster. it gives you more time to progressively feed in the front brake.
make sure you have a good tire, pressure and road surface.
and also keep in mind that the R1 is one of the worst stoppie bikes out there b/c its front end likes to wobble—get a steering damper!!!
