first off i have a 2007 gsxr 600 and that is my baby! and i am wanting to get the slowboy racing turbo kit, a power commander, intake, and the taylormade exhaust for it... 1. would it be better to buy the exhaust with preprogrammed powercommander or get a p/c seperate after i buy all the other goodies? 2. what is a good intake for my streetbike? i just recently got into riding about a year or two ago and im not really familiar with all the performance manufacturers out there... is k&n still the best for a streetbike or who? 3. would it be better for me to get the goodies for my gsxr or start over, sell my bike and start with something bigger like a cbr100rr or similar? let me know what yall think! thanks for your times

all the money you plan to spend building the 600 would easily get you the gsx-r1000 (to keep it in the family).
although the built 600 would be unique, it would only be on par with a lightly modded 1000, and it'd be a lot more fragile.
you could put a small turbo on the 1000, run a full exhaust and have a much faster and more reliable bike than the fully tuned 6.
imo.

well i see your point and a very good one it is... i guess i never really thought about how fragile my lil gsxr would be when i do start to fully modify it... well with that in mind that gives me the perfect reason to buy a cbr1000rr... thanks again man!

I have a similar request. I too have a GSXR 750 stock but would like to make some modification to the exhaust system. I'm looking for a site/sound to examine them before purchasing. Any suggestions! "Thanks"

im currently having problems with my moded 94 gsxkatana 600 with a 95 750 motor regeared front and rear sprokets, 4 to 1 headers, old school yosh pipe with 4 layers pulled out all lowered 2in and cant find the correct forum.....one day, i wasnt even riding it hard, the bike started losing power and making more and more noise the over an hour period of time, when i shifted to first it was ok for about 5 seconds and the the bike seized and the tire locked up. when i tried to start the bike it just made a loud click which i found out was my motor trying to turn the motor over but wouldnt. when i drained my oil there wasnt anything in my oil. and now if i try to roll the bike in neutral it rolls around fine but if i put it in gear and pull in my clutch the bike wont roll freely and takes a few rocks back and forth to move but is still hard to move..almost impossible in the lowest gears.....any ideas?

I would not try to start a mqchine that locked up ,youll on incure more problems, the clicking sound was the starter solenoid, the engine should be disassembled for further vinspection ,from here its impossible for anyone to say what happened. could be a cam chain, crank shaft, piston seizure, and on and on.Rolling the machine in gear with the clutch in sometimes isnt all that easy either ,the clutch poact is in oil,the plte can stick & that amount depends on the stack height, and how well the clutch is operating and is adjusted.good luck..later..RS

Ouch!....that sounds like the same *** that happened to my car and that was the camshaft breaking. I would really like to know what ended up being the problem with your bike cause on my new one, that I am fixing up now, that almost became a problem if I hadn't gone to get it repaired at the frst thing I noticed going wrong. All it was was a light ticking noise and I stopped it before it got any worse and now my bike runs like a champ.
