when buying a used bike there are many things that should be taken into consideration, suck as break lights, un cracked fuel pipes, breaks, tires, chasis' and other things that should be checked out before purchasing a used bike from someone who has been riding for a while. I also understand that its useful to inform the seller about the bike being completely turned off before i get there to make sure that the engine is cool, to give me a chance to turn on the bike myself. There are many things to take into consideration when buying a used bike off of someone from Ebay or Craigslist. So my question is... does any one have any suggestions on if i should have a checklist that is available online or any useful sites that can help me out since i dont have many friends that ride street bikes....any suggestions would help a great deal thanks!!!

only buy used when you can ins[ect or have it inspected by a reliable source. When I got my first bike I took my neighbor who has been riding since he was able to throw a leg over a lil 50cc. now hs onto bigger better bikes and knows his stuff. I got the bike down to 1900 from $2500 asking because it needed brake pads front and back, a rear rotor, and the obvious paint work from where he spray bombed the curbside faring after he dropped it in his garage. (subsequently I did the same aswell...damn center stand)
