I'd like to install a custom exhaust system on my '08 R1. Does anyone know what I might run into with the EXUP valve? Disconnect it, re-install it?  What are the pros and cons, if any?

 Also, it has to go in for the 600 mile service. I hear a slight valve tapping, is that normal for a brand new bike, and will they adjust the valves during the service? Is the tap a timing issue or a mechanical adjustment issue?
