where are all the old gixxers?

i am a proud owner of a 1998 gixxer 750,you know , the srad model,and i was  wondering  where these old bikes have disapeared to.im not knockin the new models of gixxers,but it seems like no one likes to keep there old bikes,just trade up  and get rid of them.me ,i like my old bike and wouldnt trade it .anybody else feel the same way(and im not just talkin gixxers either,kawis, cbrs ,u name it)?
