hello i would suggest purchasing a ninja 650R this is a great beginner bike becouse it has a sport feel yet its also a touring kinda bike you do not have to lay on the tank yea some may say its a 650 for a begginer i say thats crap i had it for my first bike and im happy i did not only is it verry agile and easy to learn starting out you pritty much slowly let off the clutch needs barley any throttle and very cheap to purchase $6500.00 suggested retail. i have one still ill never get ride of it i also have a ninja zx6R cbr600RR and i have my gsxr jixer 1000 .. n u wont belive i drive the ninja 650R all the time becouse its so comfortable and still decently fast i top speed her at 145mph and she will keep up with R6 zx6R cbr600RR most of those without compramising safety ....DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RACE THEM lol ive tryed i bead a R6 but it turned out the kid dident know how to shift properly lol hope the info helped

As for the part about the first bike, man there are all kinds of forums on here about that one. I am not going to start another one with this one. Get what you want that is all I will say. On the what would be a good bike to take the road test on, question. Well, if you have a friend that has an enduro that is your best bet. Those things are GREAT for you road test. That way you can get that portion out of the way and go riding. When I took my second test over in germany there was a women on an enduro and she kicked the figure 8's @$$. I thought to myself WOW, I spoke to her after the test and she was a fellow 600rr rider, she just knew someone with and enduro and took it on that do to the turning abilities of them. She was smarter than I was. Be safe and ride with your head or end up on your @$$.

areilius4 here, be careful purchasing a new bike to learn on.its fine for the test part but its best you buy a sturdy old bike to practice on rather than turn a new bike into one learning on it.the ninja 6 will do.
