since you already have experience, in riding a bike i would say to go with a bike that you know you are going to be comfortable with. IF you are just starting, and I am saying this because this has been suggested of me, but if your barely starting i would suggest going with a 250, which is a small starter bike, most bikers start off this way and end up upgrading to a larger and faster bike. Most of these street bikers are looking to sell these types of bikes, so im sure you can save your self some $ by buying a used one to gain more experience and then upgrade to a new and faster bike when you are ready. Again this is just a suggestion, if you feel comfortable with a big boy bike go right ahead, but i say its better to start small and work your way up.
