Hey Guy/Chicks
Im Kristin
Im a new member and wanted to know what bike owners look for when they go in to a bike shop. i only ask becuase im going to school so i can open up my own street bike shop(i want to rebuild/build, and do the graphic on street bikes of all kinds). In my shop ill have all kinds of things. parts for your bike etc. So I'm simply asking.. What would you be looking for in that type of shop. What would you come to me asking for???

When I walk into a shop I look for professionalism, enthusiasm, a knowledgeable staff and quality parts. IMO, A huge selection is great, but isn't necessarily realistic for a new shop as overhead is outragous.
Go with what you know and display a bit of your work. Confidence in your work gives confidence to your customers. If you've got those bases covered and a good product/service, you'll be in business.

One thing that I look for is quality of the work. You don't want to go to a shop that does half a$$ work and cheap products. You want customer service and knowing the fact that if something goes wrong, it will be fixed without a run around.
