i am a new rider but i have been riding dirt bikes and quads for awhile now. i dont have much experience on the roads so i was wondering if a katana would be a good first bike for me. i am young and stupid so i will be doing wheelies and i was wondering what people thought of the katana

Learn to ride the bike before throwin the front wheel to the sky. I would go for a r6,gsxr 600,cbr or ninja.

ya know u couldn't have said it better mang. it will take some time b4 u get used 2 tha road. some longer then others but start small give it won season then c how u feel dude

if you want to nail some wheelies then the Katana IS NOT your bike.
like I tell everyone that's new to riding....get something old and crusty and beat on it for 6 months. you're gonna drop it, sink it on hot blacktop, etc.
my first ride was an '84 Nighthawk 750 that i got when i was 16 in '94. it was $500 but a great learner. then i moved on to a cbr600 and appreciated it more!
