It is a Korean maker that has become semi-popular. As for the 250's it is a great bike to learn on and get some experience with. I believe they are Vtwins so they will have a bit of torque to them. If you are considering a 250 also look at the Ninja 250..very popular and I believe they have/are redesigning it to look more like the sportier bikes. The only problem with the Hyosungs are they don't have a dealership or actual parts place as of yet.

hey thanks for the reply. i was kinda scared to go with one of these bikes. i was readign that they used to make the motor for some suzuki bikes. but seing as how they are new to the united states. i think i might go with an older used bike thats around the same price. untill they get a little bit more credit

hyosung may be fairly new to the united states, but they are not a brand new company. as a soldier i've had the experiance of riding many different models of hyosung's in korea. they can take a lot of abuse, are very reliable, and very fun. i would suggest the gt650r, it has enough power to not outgrow soon. the 250 is a v-twin and has good torque, but like the ninja 250 you'll get bored with it quickly.
if you like the look of the hyosung and the way it feels it's a great bike, and cheap on insurance. if you just like the price, and really want something from japan with a little more get up and go you're better off looking for a good used bike.
