Dude, if you were running an actual 180 mph you need to come out Land Speed racing. I just made a normally aspirated 650cc class pass at Maxton at 181.7 and it was the 1st of that class over 180. Maybe your speedo said 180, but I doubt it was actual.

I was at Maxton and Jeff made a nice pass at 182 on the Honda. The ECTA site has been down for maintenance issues.
I owe a lot of thanks to Sal Spatafora of Ace Performace in Ft. Lauderdale as the ZX-6RR became the 1st and only normally aspirated 650cc class Land Speed motorcycle to make a pass at over 180 mph. 180.038 in the MPS/G-650/4 class. We made a pass in the MPS/BG-650/4 class at 181.712. That also was all motor, because that is all we have. It was in a blown class so it will not show as normally aspirated. TLN Motorsports/Ace Performance now holds 10 ECTA Land Speed records in the 650cc class.

If the class limit is 650cc, I'd bet they are every bit of 649cc. Maybe he'll post it up but I understand them keeping it secret if they ***

The one thing I can assure you is the ZX-6 is a 636. It started life as a 599 (ZX-6RR) and was punched out to 636, no more. It is fast for that bike. The 1st normally aspirated 650cc class bike over 180 mph (181.7). The Texas guy's that have been to Maxton know this bike. It has been coming along for the last year. Sal Spatafora of Ace Performance is the builder. We will be back at Maxton in May and in Maine at the 1.5 mile event in August. Betting it's a 649 would be a bad bet.

Sweet! That's flying for a 636cc bike. I figured it was built for the record like some of Sal's other awesome projects. Sounds like you've got a little room on the table for more...

That's it for displacement on this bike. No more secrets to do, just getting the tune right and making the perfect pass. Sal will be at Maxton in May and if the conditions are right, who knows. He will definately make a few passes on the bike. Are we asking a lot of the bike? You bet, but you always want more. 1st to 180 is now a chase for the 1st to 183. You said it Sal's awesome projects. He has the touch.

The Kawasaki is exactly what Greg said it is. 636cc 181.7 mph Saying this in a calm voice If anyone would like to protest one of our bikes there would be no hard feelings just put up 500.00 wich is reasonable and we will do a teardown and if we are over the class limit or using NOS we will be ridiculed from the whole LSR world and we will pay YOU 500.00 cash ! same thing I said about our 750cc 1000cc & 1350 cc bikes that hold the fastest records.
I have over 12 years of real world testing and tuning on what works and what does not, testing lots of combinations to get the right (complete package) I personally test everything myself and make choices on parts on our findings not because shop abc said so or their Dyno said so. Look out for our little 750 GSXR 749cc it will be looking for a 190 MPH all motor in May ! Sal.

The guy's in Texas should know about Ace Performance and Sal. Didn't he win the nitrous shootout last year on a bike with no bottle? We are in Maxton May 15-17 and probably June26-28. We will be in Maine at Loring July 31-Auguat 1. Any questions about the bikes being legit or the speed is runs can be answered there. You should contact him, as he works on all bikes.

Jeff that motor will do just fine with the spray. The bike has been strong for over 2 years at Maxton. No reason for it to let go now. Sorry to hear you guy's will not be there in May. I'm not sure if we will make the June meet this year. We are definately going to Maine for the 1.5 mile July31-Aug 02. Smooth surface and 1.5 miles. We have to try it. You guy's should look at making the trip if you can. I'm not sure what we will run next month in Maxton, but Sal is bringing the 750 loaded for bear. It should be fun to watch. We want 183 from the 600, but the weather will have to be perfect for any chance of that.
