I don't want to sound all parental or anything but any 2000 decade 600cc supersport is going to be pretty fast. Figure around 150mph or a bit better. The real question is how much riding experience do you have before you go out to top-end a bike? As an MSF instructor I tell my students speed won't kill you but a lack of proper skill and ability can.
I ride several bikes from dual sport/dirt to 1000cc sportbikes to Sport Touring. All but the dirt capable bikes easily reach between 148-175mph. To use any of this capability my rule is if your going to go 150mph+ then you need to be able to maximum brake from that speed, as well as perform obstacle advoidance.
Good luck in finding the bike you want. And remember it's not typically the machine that needs upgrades it's the software.

Jeff,
Post up the numbers, sounds like it will be fun. What size Turbo did you go with...? It might be an animal to ride with the 600 power band AND forced induction on top of that...

I HEAR YOU ON THAT.COULD NOT AGREE MORE, FOR FUN I RIDE A 250 ON THE STREET AND IN MOST SITUATIONS I CAN OUT RUN ALL THE GUYS ON BIGGER BIKES IN THE CURVES. THAY ARE FAST IN THE STRAIGHTS BUT THEY LACK SKILLS IN THE EXPERIANCE DEPARTMENT, IM A FIRM BELIVER THAT YOU NEVER STOP LEARNING, I HAVE BEEN RIDING FOR 20 SOME YEARS AND STILL LEARN SOMETHING EVERY TIME I RIDE.THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I FIND IS TAHT PEOPLE GET COCKY AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOUR PICKING THEM UP OFF STREET.

Not sure what the hp was with the NOS, but on motor only it was 106hp. 165mph was the best I got out of it,motor only. The October Maxton meet with NOS it went 179.342 MPH.New record, fastest 650 at maxton. Still 600cc's. That should have been mentioned in the febuary issue, but for some reason Don Smith did not think it was worth mentioning. The reply from him was,The Super Streetbike Stootout IS seperate from any maxton functions, WTF. Hello, how many times have I seen the bikes that run at Maxton in SSbike!!O by the way Jim went back in October and set a new record, Yea that would have been a stretch! The first time I went to Maxton was without a bike. Arron Frank was there with the zx14. I helped him when he had problems with the nos he was runing. I guess turning wrenches is easer than stroking the key board? That probly would not bother me so bad except for the fact that my dad was diagnosed with cancer the first of september and couldn't make it to the meet.I don't think he will be able to make it to any other meets. Would have been nice for him to be able to seen a mention of that record in the mag. JEFF Get that other SSbike D.Smith record, Please! Jim.
