I am 16 with a GS500F but I finnally got the wheelie tonight. 1st gear 5k rpm open it up to 9k rpm and let go. I had tried it in 2nd to get the little front wheel bumps but today, infront of some friends, i got a full fledge at least 30 yard wheelie! It felt so good, so smooth, I cant wait till i can just ride them at will for as long as I want. Any advice on keeping my wheel from prematurly coming down (besides me pansying out) would be fine. I just dont want to end up at 12 oclock.

You clutched it up right? I couldnt really tell from your post.

Cover that rear brake and I'd stay in first gear for now, as 1st gear will engine braking will save you if you go over

Learning on a gs500f will be tough, they dont make the greatest stunt bikes (skinny rear tires, low power, weak front forks)

Try to pick up a wrecked f4i or a f3 to learn on.
